Isle of Man Steam Packet Ferries provides freight, passenger and vehicle services between the port of Douglas and four ports in England, as well as towns in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Both fast craft and conventional vessels make up a modern fleet providing high levels of on-board facilities including the 96-metre catamaran named Manannan, the largest of its type on the Irish Sea which has recently undergone a complete refurbishment.
Providing a year-round service for passengers, vehicles (including coaches) and freight between the UK, Ireland and the Isle of Man, approximately 600,000 passengers travel with Isle of Man Steam Packet annually. On top of that, they carry 170,000 cars and motorcycles per year: a figure which reaches roughly 10,500 within a 2 week period during the annual TT Motorbike Races.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's aim is to provide consistent services with convenient and fast crossing times, and to offer a wide range of promotional fares to the travelling public. With the very latest fast craft ferries at their disposal, the company offers some of the quickest sailings across the Irish Sea.

"Fantastic Service, Super Quality and Great Staff"
We travelled both ways with Steam Pack, to and from the Isle of Man. The party were made up of four plus a car, between the age of 22 and 76 and two passengers had disabilities. From the second we arrived to depart on both occasions the staff were fantastic till we departed at both ends. No stress and no anxiety as everyone knows exactly what they are doing and as such everything runs like clockwork. Nothing is to much trouble, we did not pre-advise of the disabilities, however, at the check in window, we happened to mention it and the advice given was second to none. The staff member got straight on the radio, the car got loaded so as to reduce walking and/or access issues, a staff member met us with a wheelchair and escorted us to our cabin. We can not praise the staff and the company enough. If you are travelling either alone or as a couple, I would recommend booking/reserving a relaxing seat either in the main ship or the executive lounge. If three or more or if the price is within your budget book a cabin. Comfortable and very clean along with your own toilet, shower, towels, Wifi, TV along with Tea and Coffee. Makes the journey so much better and comfortable. That said, the main passenger area is clean, well set out with plenty of seats. The shop and the cafe have everything you will need and at normal high street prices, which says a lot for the company. They have the monopoly, so like Service Stations, they could if they wanted to, charge higher prices, but they Do Not, which tells me that they put Customer Service before profits. If we travel anywhere in the future and Steam Pack have a service, we will always use them. We gave 5*s, but this is not high enough, I would say they are 6+.
